I'll be. There is an identical project overlooking the Columbia Gorge on the Washington side of the river. It was built by SAM Hill who was a pioneering road builder at the turn of the last century. His project was built in memory of WW I dead. Here's Beth peeking out from on of the columns. Years ago in the film era I came to this place for the first time and shot it, probably 35 years ago. I gave a print of the memorial to my folks. Now that they are gone, it hangs back in my house. The image has held up well in both quality and feel.
Interesting, but . . . too much cement. Hope
ReplyDeletePretty cool. It's outside Ingram, TX. You should check it out...
