  4. I'll be. There is an identical project overlooking the Columbia Gorge on the Washington side of the river. It was built by SAM Hill who was a pioneering road builder at the turn of the last century. His project was built in memory of WW I dead. Here's Beth peeking out from on of the columns. Years ago in the film era I came to this place for the first time and shot it, probably 35 years ago. I gave a print of the memorial to my folks. Now that they are gone, it hangs back in my house. The image has held up well in both quality and feel.
